Professor West talks about poverty in America and lack of transformative leadership. Yet what matters isn't as difficult as rocket science. It's a good education and access to opportunities for gainful jobs. But there's serious attack on public education which still is the only means to an education for the majority of the people.
Privatization of education's getting serious consideration in the U.S. because of the philosophy that education can be managed well if a business model is used in its funding. This's a mere channeling of tax payers money to people who mightn't facilitate a world class education as claimed.
In this talk show, the rich get richer and the poor can't eve get a descent education according to Prof West. War on American public education he says has been on but never has it gained credence as it has at moment.
